Ur:Heimweh

This work presents a primal landscape—one that feels deeply embedded in memory,
despite never having been experienced firsthand—
through the medium of photography. The images are selected from film stills of the
short film Ur: Heimweh and photographs taken at its filming locations.
Each print follows the cinematic 16:9 aspect ratio, echoing the visual language of the
moving image.

In the film, the artist performs both the roles of her mother and
grandmother, creating a layered world in which memory, time,
and landscape intersect.

本作品は、実際には経験していないにもかかわらず、まるで記憶の奥深くに刻まれているかのように感じられる原風景を、
写真というかたちで表現したもの。写真は、短編映像作品「Ur: Heimweh」のフィルムスティルや、
同映像の撮影地で撮影された写真から抜粋し、16:9 の映画と同じ画面比率でプリントしている。
映像作品では、作者自身が母親および祖母の役を演じ、記憶、時間、風景が交錯する世界を描いてる。

On the other side, a childhood photograph of the artist’s mother is printed.
Will these personal memories and narratives be shared, and gradually blend with
the memories of others?

短編映像「Ur: Heimweh」の背景にある物語を、エッセイ、詩のような形式で綴ったテキストを片面に印刷したポスター作品。
もう一面には、母親の幼少期の写真を使用している。個人的な記憶、物語は配られ、他者の記憶と混じり合っていくだろうか。

短編映像「Ur: Heimweh」の物語をもとに制作したオブジェ。人工毛を三つ編みにし、
それを数珠のように連ねることで、過去と未来が互いに内包しながら巡る記憶の連続性を表現する。
映像には、三つ編みを編む幼少の頃の記憶が描かれている。
添えられた稲は、映像にも登場する豊作を祈る伝統に由来し、生命の再生と循環の象徴とする。
